Meet Jacqui Lambie: former employee of the Labor Party, former party member of the Liberal Party and former candidate for the Palmer United Party. This lady has been to more parties than a disco ball. She suffered a spinal injury while working for the army, which may explain why she has such spineless positions.
Every election Jacqui Lambie becomes more and more progressive in her views. Despite presenting herself as a working class bogan Australian, she aligns heavily with the Labor, Greens and the left in general. The most prominent example is the embracing of pro – immigration policies.
She used billionaire extraordinaire Clive Palmer’s finances to be elected in 2013 to the federal senate, and then betrayed him around a year later. Palmer should probably be Emperor of Australia by now, however he was stabbed in the back by various candidates before his political party could even lay the foundations. Whether you love or loathe him, it’s obvious that he was taken advantage of by devils in disguise. No one cared about Jacqui Lambie until Clive Palmer gave her the mask.
It is therefore amusing that all of Jacqui Lambie’s senators have pulled a Jacqui Lambie. She set up her own party named the Jacqui Lambie Network and managed to get two other candidates (Steve Martin and Tammy Tyrrell) elected to the federal senate. Both of which broke away from the party and went their own way. The irony is bliss.
Tammy Tyrell is the most recent candidate to abandon Jacqui Lambie and become an independent. No one knew who she was until she parasitically used the party to achieve election success. I guess she learnt from the best. On a side note, Tyrell should use the tongue twister “Tammy Tyrell Takes Tasmania Towards Tomorrow” in any future campaigns. Try saying that 10 times.
Three of Jacqui Lambie’s candidates have been elected in Tasmania’s most recent election and I can only hope that they follow suit and betray her. She deserves to reap what she sows and it is rumored that Clive Palmer gains a chin every time Lambie loses a candidate.
