Our Leaders Aren’t Even Real

Recently the monarch and co were revealed to be photoshopping images of the future Queen of England, Catherine Middleton. This was after she had been missing for months with no explanation. It’s an interesting scandal because it points to a larger issue that none of our leaders actually exist.

Sadly I have not met Princess Peach or Princess Kate, so I really have no reason to believe they even exist. Due to the poorly done photoshop, I actually have more of a reason to believe neither of these figures are real. She is merely the example for this wider issue, as she was the one that’s falsified image has been recently discovered.

For years I have brushed off these types of arguments as merely a distraction from the easier grasped issues. However, as I’ve matured I realized that this is an actual possibility.

First, there is a real tangible argument that for years our leaders around the world are merely just a combination of Ai and special effects. It is unquestionable that our government has technology that far outweighs the general public. There are spectacular photorealistic results that the average buffoon can achieve on his home computer – so now imagine what a team of the most procured and well paid can do.

Secondly, these same people could just be actors (possibly even combined with digital effects). There are many comparisons of the radical changes to various leader’s appearances over the years. And the answer we are given is either age or cosmetic surgery. Well if cosmetic surgery can radically change their appearance; it therefore makes sense that an actor could undergo these same physical transformations to simulate these leaders.

20 years ago Saddam Hussein was using body doubles and we can presume that this is standard practice around the globe.

And third, even if we assume these figures are real: then the same logic applies. They are merely fictional characters presented through media. I know Princess Kate about as well as I know Princess Leia. A team of media representatives have carefully created a story about each figure for me to consume. These stories are formed for distracting entertainment, but also to create a moral and cultural point that the masses should follow.

I’m not trying to shake your world here, quite the opposite. We should ignore this artificial media and instead appreciate the tangible: the people we know and love.
